There are currently three Bible studies meeting within our church fellowship. The following are descriptions of the groups, with the name and email address of a leader whom you may contact for more information.
Our group is geared to families with children. Our goal is to gather, study, fellowship, and pray together, knowing that there will be many distractions as the children are encouraged to attend as well. We meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7pm at the Rice's house in Nokesville. We typically watch a DVD series with videos between 30-60 minutes with a brief discussion after each video. Topics we've studied in the past are Parables of Jesus, Moses and the Burning Bush, The Truth Project. We like to vary our topics, but typically keep to watching DVD series. If interested in more information, contact Christopher and Megan Rice at the link above.
Our group consists of adults (college age and above). We usually gather at 7:00 to discuss the subject matter for the night. We have done many different things over the years including going through a book of the Bible; doing topical studies in the Bible; reading and discussing Christian books; watching and discussing videos; etc. We are currently studying the book of Matthew. This takes about 45 minutes to an hour. We then have a time of sharing prayer requests and then praying. Following this we have a time of fellowship around dessert. If interested in more information, please contact Larry Poe at the link above.
Our group consists of adults (college age and above). We gather at 6:30pm for a pot-luck salad bar dinner, then we do Bible study for 1-1.5 hours. (Right now we are going through the book of Revelation.) Then we share and pray until 9pm. If interested in more information, please contact Jack Lash at the link above.
